The group meets weekly over 6 weeks, running every Wednesday from November 4 - December 9 from 4pm - 5:30pmIn this program, you will:Understand how social anxiety worksDevelop insight into thinking, feeling and behavioural aspects of the problemLearn ways of managing unhelpful thinking styles and unhelpful behaviours that can perpetuate the problemPractice helpful skills and behaviours in a supported way through group interaction and practice tasks in between sessionsProspective participants may be asked to undergo a brief eligibility screening to ensure that the group aligns with their current needs and goals.In addition to the group sessions, we offer free individual counselling for both adults and children. This additional support is available for those interested in one-on-one sessions to complement their group experience.You must be in Australia at the time of the group. There is no cost or Medicare referral needed. Self-referrals are welcome, so please get in touch today at clinic@acap.edu.au.Groups are facilitated by final stage students under close supervision of experienced professionals.
